Yummy Food

This is one of my fave foods. Thanks to my sister-in-law I will be having Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad whenever I want and probably for a lot cheaper than the restaurant. I thought I would share the recipe with you all... Enjoy!

Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad
Salad:
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup corn flake crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast half
oil for frying
3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
1 cup red cabbage
1 cup Napa cabbage
1/2 carrot, julienned or shredded
1 green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon sliced almonds
1/3 cup chow mein noodles
Dressing:
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Grey Poupon Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
Prepare dressing ingredients by mixing in a small bowl. Refrigerate while
preparing salad.
Cut each chicken breast into 5 strips. In one bowl, beat egg with milk.
In another bowl, combine flour with corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper.
Preheat oil over medium heat.
Dip individual chicken pieces in egg mixture and then roll in the flour
mixture. Fry chicken until browned, drain and set aside.
Prepare salad by tossing the chopped romaine with the chopped red
cabbage, Napa cabbage, and carrots. Sprinkle sliced green onion on top of
the lettuce. Sprinkle almonds over the salad, then the chow mein noodles.
Cut the chicken into small chunks. Place the chicken onto the salad
forming a pile in the middle. Serve with salad dressing on the side.

NO!

Does no mean anything to babies? Here are some of the things that I'm teaching Blake not to play with. In his little mind no means: YES, GO FOR IT, PLAY WITH IT, HAVE FUN. If anybody have better ideas please let me know. Good luck!

Cuddling with Mr. Green

Blake has become a very affectionate boy this last week. He likes to give hugs and cuddles with stuffed animals and people. Who knew my baby would be as loving and affectionate as Mommy hahaha. I love it!

Ouwi

Yesterday as Blake was playing with his music table he was trying to get down and missed the carpet and landed on one of the stairs on his face. Luckily it was just a little ouwi and there was no major damage. He has a bruise under his left eye. It doesn't seem like he is in pain to me but I do feel bad. I wish I had been there to confort him when it happened but Dad got home and gave him millions of hugs and kisses and so did Mommy. Lesson learned you can't always be there to protect your kids as much as you would like to be and accidents happen. It sure isn't fun to be teething and have a cold on top of that. I'm glad that he is ok. He sure is a tuff little boy.

Joining the English blogging world

We have decided to join the English blogging world. For those of you wondering what in the world we are talking about, here is a little explanation. We actually have been blogging for over 5 months now but our blog is in Spanish. We wrote it in Spanish for my (susi's) parents. Some of our close friends are like mmmm well maybe you should have an english version of it so we can understand what the heck you're talking about. So that is the story. We are now officially part of the blogging world. We hope you enjoy our lame posts. Hahaha just kidding I ment to say our wonderful, beautiful moments.
