Carving with Friends

We have made really good friends here in Philly. Our friends had us over to carve some pumpkins and we had a great time. I was telling my girlfriend I wish they sold pumpkins seedless hahaha that's my least favorite part. I am prego and it grosses me out a bit. Regardless we all enjoyed our pumpking carving experience and Dall decided to carve the Phillies P and I carved a face on the other side so our pumpkin is really freaky looking but it is halloween right? Happy Halloween Everyone!

Scared

Well today will be my first actual prenatal appointment at 17 weeks. A lot of thoughts have been going through my head lately about this baby, is the baby doing ok? the options I have, the possibility of a resident delivering this baby and cutting me open and performing his possible first c-section. I am totally freaking out to be honest. I don't like the fact that every time I am to go into the dr. I have to see a new face and tell them my story all over again, and again, and again! I really am struggling with deciding what to do with this delivery: 1- I can attempt a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) I have read a lot of material on this and I don't know if I want to do this because of the risks involved. Uterine rupture, bleeding to death, opening of the scar, the child developing brain damage and possible death if things go wrong. 2- Another cesarean. There's always risk in surgery, infection, anesthesia, and it makes each pregnancy a greater risk for me the more c-sections I have. What to do? I know I should just have faith that everything will work out for the best but at this point I am really, REALLY confused. I would have more peace of mind if my dr. Macy was the one in charge of this birth. If anyone has had a similar experience would you be willing to share what you did? Any advice, theories? I'll take it! Um that's my belly at 17 weeks :)

No way!

It has been a tradition in the Palmer family to go to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert every year. And of course the year that I may not be able to go who gets to sing with them?

The one and only....David Archuleta.....I am a big fan of little David and I really, really want to go to this concert. I will walk if I have to, I will stand in line if I need to but I really want to be part of this event.....hahaha ok I'm a little dramatic but I do want to go so if anyone has any tickets that they might want to give up I will fly standby to Utah during the craziest, busiest time of the year :)

E.R Visit

I feel like I'm destined to visit the E.R at least once with each pregnancy. It happened with the miscarriage before Blake, it happened with Blake when I had the big fall..they had to monitor me for hours. And lo it happened again......it all started with a big cramp on my right lower pelvic area which I ignored cause I thought oh well it's probably nothing. I went to pee and I was in teaaaaaaaaars. I can't explain the pain. I got the chills, feverish, cramping, I couldn't walk. Dallin looked at me like mmm maybe we should go somewhere. Ok as I have mentioned before getting into the dr. is a joke here so I still haven't been seen for this pregnancy. My first appointment is in October. I went to urgent care. I explained all the symptoms to the PA. They did a urine test and she told me: We found blood in the urine, I don't think it's an infection because usually when it is, white cells appear and there were none. I'm like it's gotta be something I'm dying!!! Well she was hesitant about treating me cause it could have been pregnancy related. She goes well it could be a possible miscarriage or kidney stones. Lots of rest and lots of fluids get to an OB ASAP. I called my PA friend and told him the situation he was like do not hesitate go to the ER don't even think about it. Went to the E.R I was there for 4 hours with Dallin and Blake. They did labs, ultrasound, vitals, great care I loved it. The doc was super nice hearing me out and after all that he comes in and tells me the baby is fine. You have a Bad UTI. I'm like whaaaaaaaaaat? really? they hurt that bad. He said we do not hesitate to treat you because you are pregnant. Let's kill this asap. Well I went home after midnight my poor Blake was over tired and didn't really know what was going on but I'm glad my two boys were there for me and I'm getting the care I need to get rid of this thing :)
