Blake's surgery

Well after trying every antibiotic possible, every home remedy, injections & taking every precaution for my son not to develop any more ear infection we gave into ear tubes placement. Blake has had a really hard time with his ears. He has had 6 ear infections in 5 months so he made an exelent candidate for ear tubes. Today was the day of the surgery and he did great. We got there at 6:45 am as instructed by the nurse. My poor baby was fasting nothing to eat or drink after midnight but he was still a happy boy he had no idea what was coming. We got him all checked in and the nurse took us to the back to get him ready. He knows that people in the medical field wear scrubs and he wasn't too happy about that. He relates scrubs to either getting this horrible instrument put in his hurting ears or a SHOT! haha. He was so good though he just cuddled me and everything worked out. The surgery lasted like 15 minutes total. The doctor came out and told us he did great. He didn't even fight the mask for the anesthesia. He was a really good boy. We met him in the recovery room and he was awake and ready for his parents, blanket and a big old bottle. He recovered quickly, he is home safe & sound with us. I really hope this will help him. I really ran out of options. All I can say is that We feel good about this so we hope for the best!
