DC with Uncle Brett

We finally got out of the house and went on an adventure to the DC area. I sooooo needed it. Dallin's brother was in DC for a conference and we met him there. It was just sooo fun to see family!!!! Blake totally clicked with uncle Brett right away. I thought he would have a hard time warming up to him. Boy was I wrong...he only wanted uncle Brett the whole day. The drive there was pretty smooth except the tolls are ridiculous....! We parked on the road and hit the train to the city. We only had time to do one museum (air and space museum) We figured since Blake is obsessed with airplanes that would be the one. We also visited the Capitol and just drove around and took a peek at the white house from far away. Our time there was very limited cause my bro in law had to be back by 3:00 for his conference. Blake's favorite thing was to ride the choo-choo that's all he wanted to do. Once we hit the museum he was in heaven.!!!!!! He loved it soooo much. On the way back we hit horrible traffic. We learned that you don't get on the freeway between 4-7 pm. We had to exit and wait @ a McDonald's. That was the not so fun part. Even though we waited we hit traffic any ways...Blake finally fell asleep after a long day of adventure. My feet were killing me. I started cramping towards the end of the day but I managed to forget the pain and just enjoy my time there. We are hopefully heading back to do the other 18 museums sometime in the future. Good thing we will be here for 4 years, I'm sure we'll have time to visit them all. We love visitors...come see us :)
